21Shares has added two new exchange-traded products (ETPs) to its European crypto lineup, linked to ether.fi’s ETHFI token and Zcash’s ZEC. These products started trading on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris on September 22. Both ETPs are physically backed, so they actually hold the crypto assets instead of using derivatives.
The ether.fi ETP trades under the ticker ETHFI, and the Zcash ETP trades under ZCASH. Each product has a 2.50% annual fee, offering investors a regulated way to access these digital assets.
These new listings represent two distinct parts of the crypto market. ETHFI is the main token for ether.fi, a decentralized finance platform that started with liquid restaking and now offers other on-chain financial services.

ZEC is the main cryptocurrency for Zcash, a blockchain known for its focus on privacy. Zcash allows both transparent and shielded transactions. Its shielded system uses zero-knowledge cryptography, so transactions can be verified without revealing details like the sender, recipient, or amount.
21Shares says that third-party custodians hold the actual crypto assets. This lets investors get exposure through their securities accounts without needing to buy, store, or manage the cryptocurrencies themselves.

The launch of the Zcash product comes as privacy in digital finance is getting more attention. Recent research from Grayscale looked at whether more artificial intelligence and data-heavy financial systems might boost demand for financial privacy. The research also highlighted the increased use of Zcash’s shielded transactions, but noted that regulation, adoption, and technology are still key factors.
The ETHFI ETP lets investors access ether.fi’s native token through an exchange. However, using an ETP does not remove the market risks. Investors are still affected by price changes in ETHFI and ZEC.
Both products are available on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris. In Amsterdam, they trade in USD, while in Paris, they trade in EUR. According to 21Shares’ documentation, the ETHFI product has ISIN CH1608218819 and the Zcash product has ISIN CH1608218801.
These launches expand 21Shares’ lineup of crypto investment products and research. Recently, the company has looked into topics like Solana’s token economics, stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, DeFi, and crypto treasury companies.
For European investors, these new listings offer more crypto assets through exchange-traded securities. Instead of handling ETHFI or ZEC directly, investors can use a familiar securities-market setup, though the usual crypto market risks still apply.
