  • Before the company starts trading on the Nasdaq, Coinbase has made Oura IPO accessible to qualified U.S. consumers.
  • At an anticipated IPO price of $40–$44 per share, Oura intends to issue 13.5 million shares.
  • Customers of Coinbase may request IPO allocations; however, orders may be filled entirely, partially, or not at all.
  • When Oura makes its public market debut, the company will trade on Nasdaq under the ticker OURA.

Coinbase has opened pre-IPO access to Oura shares for eligible U.S. customers, allowing users to request allocations at the IPO price before the wearable technology company begins trading on Nasdaq.

Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has launched access to the initial public offering of Oura Inc., the company behind the Oura Ring wearable device.

Eligible U.S. customers can use a new IPO section in the Coinbase app to request shares before Oura begins public trading. Users must fund their Coinbase accounts to cover the requested purchase amount and can submit a Conditional Offer to Buy after Oura publishes its expected price range.

Oura IPO Allocation Depends On Demand & Supply

Once the IPO order period closes, Coinbase will allocate available shares based on its stated methodology and the supply provided by underwriters.

Customer requests may be filled completely, partially, or not at all, depending on demand and available shares. Users can also modify or cancel their requests while the offer period remains open.

If the IPO price changes beyond a specified limit, customers may need to resubmit their requests. Once Oura begins trading publicly, allocated shares will become tradable through Coinbase.

Coinbase also says its allocation system considers how long customers hold IPO shares. Selling allocated shares within the first 30 days may result in a 60-day restriction from participating in future Coinbase IPO offerings.

Oura Sets $40-$44 IPO Price Range

Oura’s SEC prospectus states that the company plans to offer 13.5 million shares of common stock, while existing selling stockholders plan to sell an additional 36.5 million shares.

Oura expects its IPO price to range between $40 and $44 per share. The company has applied to list its shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker OURA.

The company will not receive proceeds from shares sold by existing stockholders. Oura is also classified as an emerging growth company, allowing it to take advantage of certain reduced public-company reporting requirements.

IPO Activity Builds Across Tech & Markets

Coinbase’s Oura offering comes as IPO activity continues to develop across technology and financial markets. Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, is reportedly targeting a November IPO after moving away from an earlier October timeline. Meanwhile, The Smarter Web Company is considering a new preferred-share offering on the London Stock Exchange.
