The White House has now confirmed that Donald Trump will attend and speak at a private gala for top holders of his TRUMP memecoin this Saturday at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
The event, organised by the team behind the token, will host the top 297 holders, with an even more exclusive reception planned for the top 29.
Earlier this month, there was uncertainty around Trump’s attendance coinciding with the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC.
Officials had indicated that his schedule was not finalised. The confirmation has now removed that doubt. This gathering will be one of the most talked-about intersections of politics and crypto in recent times.
Still, the event has drawn criticism from lawmakers, including Elizabeth Warren, who have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest.
They argue that offering access to a sitting president in connection with a memecoin could blur ethical boundaries and encourage financial activity tied to political influence.
This is not the first such event linked to the TRUMP token. A similar gathering last year also sparked debate. Despite the criticism, interest in the token remains strong, reflecting how digital assets are increasingly being used as tools for branding, community-building, and influence.
