Startup Zededa Raises $72 mn To Power AI Tools
Zededa, a startup that creates enterprise computing tools, has raised $72 million, indicating investor interest in supporting businesses that enable the smooth operation of artificial intelligence.
The funding round valued the company at around $400 million, double its previous value of $193 million in 2022.
This increase contrasts with a slowing startup funding environment. Zededa specializes in edge computing, which involves networks and devices processing data close to the user, addressing the data-intensive challenges of AI.
Smith Point Capital led the funding round, with returning investors including Lux Capital, Chevron Technology Ventures, and Porsche Ventures.
