Fortnite LEGO Teases Content, Metaverse Project
A presentation given by Epic Games and LEGO representatives revealed important details about the Fortnite x LEGO collaboration. Fortnite is no stranger to unexpected but fantastic collaborations with major corporations. When something new is on the horizon, fans are always eager to hear the details, especially since it usually means new content for the battle royale game.
Fortnite and LEGO are rumored to be partnering for a crossover event, as LEGO’s focus on imagination and building is evident in the game. Epic Games’ president Adam Sussman and LEGO Global Chief Product and Marketing Officer Julia Goldin announced the collaboration at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The partnership aims to bring real-world LEGO creations to Fortnite using Unreal Engine, highlighting the importance of building in both franchises.
The presentation showcased the infinite possibilities of online gaming and game creation, with Fortnite being an example. It allowed characters from different worlds to unexpectedly come together in a match, a feat not seen in console wars.
