Wall Street is becoming more interested in blockchain technology, and this could open up investment opportunities beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, says Citrini Research.

Citrini Research believes that tokenized stocks, bonds, and loans could open the blockchain market to trading, lending, and payments. This would give companies and crypto projects a chance to earn fees from those activities.
In its 79-page report, Breaking the Wall, published Thursday, Citrini argued that investors could find better ways to benefit from tokenization by focusing on the platforms and protocols powering the shift.
Tokenization Could Create New Opportunities For Wall Street
Tokenization means taking financial assets and turning them into digital tokens on a blockchain. This technology might allow assets to move between platforms, trade all day and night, and act as collateral for loans on blockchain networks.
For example, investors might use stocks to get money through digital platforms. This could mean they don’t need to rely much on traditional financial middlemen.
Citrini thinks this change will help trading platforms, companies that create stablecoins, lending systems, and businesses that keep track of who owns securities.
The company also said that Bitcoin and Ethereum might not benefit most from this trend. Instead, companies and crypto systems that make money from financial activity could have better opportunities.
Citrini Highlights Stocks Positioned To Benefit
Citrini identified several publicly traded companies that could benefit as financial markets move onchain.
Securitize (SECZ) was highlighted for its role in connecting blockchain tokens with the securities they represent. Coinbase (COIN) and Robinhood (HOOD) could benefit through their trading businesses and blockchain infrastructure.
Stablecoin issuer Circle (CRCL) could gain from increased demand for USDC to settle tokenized transactions. Figure Technology Solutions (FIGR) was included for its tokenized lending business, while SoFi (SOFI) could benefit from stablecoin payments.
The convergence and disruption. @citrini research nails it again.

The report also identified Bullish (BLSH), a digital asset exchange operator, as another potential beneficiary.
Crypto Tokens Could Offer Broader Tokenization Exposure
Citrini expressed greater enthusiasm for its crypto-token basket, which includes projects serving different parts of the tokenized financial ecosystem.
Aerodrome (AERO) could benefit from trading activity involving tokenized assets, while Maple (SYRUP) focuses on institutional blockchain-based lending. Pendle (PENDLE) lets people trade yield, which means you can buy or sell expected returns from DeFi protocols.

Ondo Finance (ONDO) provides financial products, including U.S. Treasuries, that are now accessible on blockchain platforms.
Other projects on the list include Aave (AAVE), which offers lending and borrowing services. Uniswap (UNI) is a platform for trading tokens using automated market makers. Chainlink (LINK) supports blockchain data infrastructure by delivering real-world information to contracts.
LayerZero (ZRO) supports chain connectivity, allowing applications to operate seamlessly across different blockchains. Citrini also highlighted Derive (DRV), Ethena (ENA), and ether.fi (ETHFI), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Lighter (LIT), and Variational (VAR).
