Brightburn’s Sequel To Incorporate AI & Metaverse

By Vishakha Thakur

Brightburn, the 2019 Superhero Horror Movie, which had put a dark twist on Superman, will once again become the talk of the town as the makers are working on a sequel and this time, they will incorporate new technologies like AI and Metaverse. The sequel will be produced by H3 Entertainment, a new label launched by The H Collective.

It’s interesting to note that the sequel to Brightburn will feature evil versions of Aquaman and Wonder Woman, creating an evil Justice League, whereas in Brightburn, which was produced by James Gunn and co-written by his brothers Brian and Mark Gunn, we saw a young extraterrestrial boy who crashed lands in Kansas but instead of becoming a hero, started using his superpowers for evil purposes.

Despite mixed reviews, the film managed to make $32 million on a short budget, and there were rumours of a sequel almost immediately after its 2019 release. And now, a Brightburn sequel is still in the works four years after the original film’s debut. Brightburn’s production company, The H Collective, is introducing a new label called H3 Entertainment that will use cutting-edge technologies in its productions, including Web3, the Metaverse, and AI and a sequel to Brightburn will be one of those endeavours.
