Crypto exchange Kraken has announced support for a new savings program called “Trump Accounts” in Wyoming. The plan is designed to help children build savings from birth.
Under a federal pilot program, babies born between 2025 and 2028 will receive $1,000 from the US government in a special savings account. Parents or guardians can add more money over time.
Kraken said it will help fund accounts created for newborns in Wyoming. The company chose Wyoming because the state has introduced crypto-friendly laws and is also home to Kraken’s headquarters.
Although Kraken has not shared how much it will contribute per child, the move shows that crypto companies are becoming more involved in traditional financial programs.
The partnership highlights the growing connection between digital asset firms and government-backed financial initiatives at the state level.
