Coty Steps Into The Metaverse
Coty Inc., one of the world’s top beauty corporations with iconic brands in fragrance, colour cosmetics, and skin and body care, announced today a collaboration with digital innovator Spatial to establish an internal metaverse for its 11,000 global workers. The virtual campus, built with best-in-class 3D technology, will upskill Coty’s worldwide workforce and enable future innovation for Coty’s diverse portfolio of brands.
The Coty Campus includes elements including text and vocal chat discussions, screen-and-filesharing, and customised avatars using desktop and mobile technology from top 3D social network Spatial. The Coty Campus will be the first metaverse to use a phygital reward system to gamify global collaboration and participation through object collection, site exploration, and goal fulfilment.
The Coty Campus will launch this fall. This innovation is a key development in Coty’s digitalization strategy and follows a wider push from Coty to upskill its associates.
