Sandbox Partners With Iconic Manga
The Sandbox has announced a collaboration with Shonen Manga Fist of the North Star to launch a new Sandbox metaverse game experience. With NFT collections, games, and more, the action manga will make its web3 debut in collaboration with Coamix Inc. and Minto Inc.
From 1983 to 1988, the manga series Fist of the North Star was popular in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The iconic manga, written by Takeru Takemono and Tetsuo Harra, featured hard-boiled action that followed the protagonist confronting various antagonists in a post-nuclear war world.
One of the best-selling manga series of all time is the action-packed shonen manga. The series is still popular among millennials worldwide, with a reported global circulation of over 100 million copies.
End of the Century LAND, the Fist of the North Star Sandbox experience, aims to stay true to the dystopian experience set in the manga and translate it to the metaverse experience. The Sandbox has revealed that the collaboration will also include the creation and sale of exclusive NFTs, among other things, to enhance and enhance the experience.
Tetsuo Hara, the author of Fist of the North Star, shared in a press release:
“I am looking forward to seeing the world of the manga ‘Fist of the North Star’ come to life in the new gaming metaverse. It’s a little strange to be a voxel, but I’m really looking forward to seeing Kenshiro and the rest of the Hokuto characters come to life and run wild.”
