Amundi Launches Tokenised Fund
Asset Management giant Amundi has launched a tokenised share class for its STOXX Europe 600 equity index fund on the Ethereum blockchain as part of its continued push to deliver traditional investment products onto the blockchain.
Amundi has taken tokenization from cash into core European equities, with the fund’s operating model unchanged.
Neutral settlement, permissioned access, 11+ years without downtime and the deepest stablecoin liquidity of any network.

The new share class was developed in partnership with European financial services company CACEIS who provided the technology and resources required to deliver the tokenization. The original fund will remain available. The STOXX Europe 600 index contains 600 large, medium and small cap stocks from developed European markets.
Tokenisation Gains Momentum In Europe
Amundi believe that by tokenizing their investment products they will make them more accessible to investors. By using blockchain technology, they can make the settlement process faster, reduce some of the processes and increase efficiency for fund management. They intend to create further tokenized funds for institutional investors and digital platforms.
This is not the first time Amundi have pushed into blockchain investments. In November 2025 they launched their first tokenised share class for a money market fund on the Ethereum blockchain. This latest launch shows that they want to move away from money market products and invest into tokenising equity products.
Tokenised Stock Market Experiences Rapid Growth
Amundi’s latest move comes after the global tokenised stocks market has seen rapid growth. The total value of tokenised stocks reached $4.24 billion on November 4, having increased almost 27% in the last 30 days (RWA.xyz).
However, the tokenised market remains dominated by US based companies and securities. The top 10 tokenised equities by value are all linked to US companies or securities. These include companies like SpaceX, Circle and Alphabet.
Financial companies in Europe are requesting regulatory bodies to speed up changes to the tokenised finance sector. In April a group of 39 companies and industry bodies warned that Europe risks falling behind the US if regulations are not made more flexible.
They want to increase the range of assets, increase the transaction limit and reduce the licensing restrictions to the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Pilot Regime in the European Union. This may encourage more financial institutions in Europe to look into blockchain investment products.
