Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB) has enhanced dollar payment options via the 24/7 USD Book Transfers solution from BNY. The deal enables the bank’s eligible clients to receive or make certain transfers at times outside regular U.S. banking hours. SGB announced the new service on October 12, 2026.
SGB has partnered with @BNYglobal to give corporate and retail clients the ability to settle qualifying USD payments around the clock.
By bypassing traditional banking cut-off times, weekends and holiday delays, SGB provides greater agility to manage real-time cross-border liquidity through BNY’s 24/7 USD Book Transfers service.

The offered solution is available to eligible corporate and retail clients with U.S. dollar accounts at BNY and those with accounts at the bank’s correspondent institutions. It allows making transfers outside the U.S. normal banking hours on weekends and holidays for eligible clients. The deal also facilitates customers’ dollar needs in multiple time zones.

The service enables clients to settle business payments and address other transaction needs conveniently and at flexible times. However, the bank has yet to disclose the particular transaction limits, related fees, and settlement hours for each transaction type.
Ali Moosa, SGB’s executive vice chairman, stated that businesses are transacting across different markets and time zones, and customers need payment solutions that suit their business schedules, not the other way around.
Bana Akkad Azhari, BNY’s head of Global Payments & Trade for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, stated that 24/7 dollar settlement would help banks manage cash more efficiently and satisfy client needs.
The bank has become one of the first financial institutions to utilize the 24/7 USD Book Transfers solution. However, the initiative only covers eligible clients managing U.S. dollar transactions. SGB has joined the growing list of finance companies vying to provide clients with better payment and settlement alternatives inside the digital asset market.
On October 5, Payward, the business behind the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, announced a partnership with SGB to settle selected institutional clients’ transactions in U.S. dollars around the clock. The arrangement allows Payward’s clients to access SGB Net, the bank’s real-time payments platform, 24/7. Additionally, SGB will provide Kraken Prime, a liquidity layer for the exchange, to Payward.
