Bitcoin closed the previous week near $84,650 after failing to hold higher levels. The backdrop was shaped by a weak U.S. jobs report, which reduced expectations for further Federal Reserve tightening. The Fed will release minutes from its September meeting on Wednesday, while TOKEN2049 takes over Singapore on October 7–8.
FOMC Minutes Take Center Stage
The Federal Reserve will release the minutes from its September 15–16 meeting on October 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET. The minutes could offer more detail on policymakers’ views on inflation, employment and the path for interest rates.
The Fed raised its policy rate to a 3.75%–4.00% target range at the September meeting. There is no rate decision this week, with the next FOMC meeting scheduled for October 27–28.
The weak September employment report remains an important backdrop. The U.S. added 29,000 jobs, below expectations of around 90,000, while unemployment rose to 4.2%.

Evernorth Prepares For XRP Treasury Listing
Evernorth is expected to begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN after shareholders of Armada Acquisition Corp. II approved their merger on September 30.

Ethereum Moves Glamsterdam To Sepolia
Ethereum will also reach an important development milestone this week. The Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to activate on the Sepolia testnet on October 6 at 13:53 UTC.
The upgrade includes proposer-builder separation, block-level access lists and gas repricing. However, it remains a testnet event, with no confirmed Ethereum mainnet activation date.
HYPE Unlock Leads Token Calendar
Hyperliquid’s HYPE unlock on October 6 is among the week’s largest scheduled token unlocks by estimated value. Estimates vary, however, making the dollar figure difficult to treat as fixed.
