- As it apparently looks into a new $1 billion investment round, Polymarket aims for a $20 billion valuation.
- According to Bloomberg, the final parameters may vary and the fundraising negotiations are still in their early phases.
- With TWAP pricing, Chainlink price feeds, and a $1 million liquidity program, Polymarket improves its cryptocurrency exchanges.
Polymarket is talking to people about getting a lot of money $1 billion, which would make Polymarket worth more than $20 billion. This is what an article from Bloomberg said on August 4. If Polymarket gets this money it will help Polymarket compete with Kalshi, which is already worth $22 billion since May. Polymarket has not said if this is true or not and does not want to talk about it.
Polymarket Is Getting Money From Investors
While ICE separately announced a $600 million investment on March 27 and had already invested $1 billion in Polymarket in October 2025, Bloomberg reported that around $1 billion concluded at a $15 billion valuation with participation from D.E. Shaw and G Squared. The valuation associated with its March investment was not disclosed by ICE.
Platform Adds New Features For Crypto Markets
While discussing fresh funding, Polymarket has also focused on improving its platform. Last week, the company introduced a Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP) pricing model for crypto prediction markets. The revision substitutes the previous snapshot pricing approach and seeks to lessen the effects of temporary price fluctuations.

These changes are designed to create a better trading experience as the platform expands its crypto-related markets.
Trading Activity Moves Back Toward Finance & Crypto
Recent data from blockchain analytics platform Dune shows that trading patterns on Polymarket are changing again. Finance-related markets now account for 2.8% of the platform’s total trading volume, the highest share since March. Sports markets had previously dominated activity during the FIFA World Cup, but that trend is now slowing.
Competition With Kalshi Remains Strong
Polymarket continues to compete with Kalshi, another major prediction market platform that recently raised $1 billion at a $22 billion valuation. Both companies also continue to face regulatory questions in the United States over whether certain prediction contracts should be treated as financial products or gambling markets.
