Crypto exchange Bybit has broadened the application of tokenized equities on its platform by permitting six tokenized US stocks to be utilized as collateral for margin trading and lending products.

The Dubai-based exchange announced that eligible retail and institutional users can now leverage tokenized shares of prominent companies such as Nvidia, Robinhood, Circle, Tesla, Alphabet, and Apple as collateral through various financial products.

The supported tokenized stocks comprise Nvidia (NVDAX), Robinhood (HOODX), Circle (CRCLX), Tesla (TSLAX), Alphabet (GOOGLX), and Apple (AAPLX). Eligible users can employ these assets for margin trading and borrowing via Bybit’s Unified Trading Account, Crypto Loans, and Institutional Loans.

This initiative represents a significant step forward in improving the financial utility of tokenized equities, which enable traditional financial assets such as company shares to be represented on blockchain technology.

By allowing tokenized stocks to serve as collateral, Bybit is successfully connecting traditional equity exposure with crypto-native trading and lending services. Users who possess eligible tokenized equities may unlock further trading or borrowing opportunities without needing to liquidate their underlying positions.

The feature is accessible to qualified retail and institutional customers, contingent upon Bybit’s lending terms, risk requirements, and product availability. The exchange’s expansion also underscores the increasing convergence between traditional financial markets and blockchain-based financial products.

Tokenization has emerged as a significant trend within the financial sector, with exchanges, banks, and fintech companies investigating blockchain infrastructure to enhance the accessibility and transferability of traditional assets.

The inclusion of some of the world’s leading technology and financial firms in Bybit’s tokenized-stock collateral offering could further stimulate interest in blockchain-based representations of equities. The advancement occurs as cryptocurrency platforms progressively broaden their scope beyond traditional spot and derivatives trading to include lending, collateralized borrowing, and tokenized real-world assets.
