WisdomTree has officially withdrawn its S-1 registration for a proposed spot XRP ETF with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), effectively ending its bid to bring a regulated XRP investment product to the U.S. market at this time.
The firm filed the original Form S-1 in December 2024 but on January 6, 2026 asked the SEC to pull the registration and all related exhibits, stating it has decided not to proceed with the offering “at this time.”
Although other spot XRP ETFs from competitors continue to attract strong inflows, WisdomTree’s withdrawal highlights the competitive and regulatory complexities facing new crypto ETF products in the U.S.
