Wipro Aims To Become AI-First Firm; More Than 220K Trained In GenAI

Wipro, a Bengaluru-based IT company, is investing $1 billion to become an AI-first firm by training nearly all its employees in artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI (GenAI).

The company launched ai360, an “AI-first innovation ecosystem” aimed at integrating AI into every platform, tool, and solution used internally and offered to clients.

Over 220,000 employees have completed training on AI fundamentals and responsible use of AI. Wipro has over 55,000 AI practitioners in its ecosystem, including AI experts, engineers, consultants, and data scientists, dedicated to infusing AI/GenAI across various industries.

The company has developed a training curriculum for employees to learn AI, machine learning, and GenAI, offering courses at different levels.

Wipro also has access to 1.7 million engineers and developers on its talent Cloud platform, Topcoder, which plays a critical role in skilling and up-skilling efforts.
