Web3 Diaries-Coinbase Issues Clarification
After a rumored report stated that Coinbase would shortly cease all operations for its Indian customers, Coinbase has released a clarification.
Users of Coinbase India were allegedly informed via email on September 11 that all services would be stopped on September 25 and were asked to withdraw any cash still on the exchange.
However, it is known that the notice was intended for individuals violating the exchange’s criteria and not for all Indian clients.
NFT Video Startup Glass Falls to Crypto Bear Market
Founders of Glass, a venture-backed crypto startup that sought to monetize NFT videos, are walking away from the protocol as it is falling prey to the bear market.
Co-founders Sam Sends and Varun Iyer posted on X (formerly Twitter) Friday that they will “end active development” of Glass Protocol after determining the demand for digital, tradeable video NFTs was too low to continue.
Unstoppable Domains Enables Messaging Feature
Unstoppable Domains, a digital identity platform, “is broadening its support for Unstoppable Messaging to include Ethereum,” according to a statement from the team. “This expansion means that users with Ethereum Name Service (ENS) Domains will now have the capability to engage in messaging across various platforms on XMTP — including apps like Coinbase Wallet and Lens, by typing in their wallet address or domain.
In July, Unstoppable integrated .eth domains, allowing anyone to natively buy via its website, and introduced novel features to help bring a new audience to .eth. Now, users can now buy their .eth, .nft, .crypto, and .polygon domains in one place.”
