UN Taps Algorand For Web3 Education
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has commissioned the Algorand Foundation to create an educational curriculum on web3 for its staff. The Algorand Blockchain Academy will be available to over 22,000 UNDP employees and other agencies, focusing on practical applications of blockchain technology in sustainable development.
A beta version will begin in Q1 2024 and roll out throughout the year. The initiative, announced by UNDP research and data analyst Robert Pasicko, will equip UN practitioners with the tools to address complex global challenges using blockchain technology. Representatives from Algorand ecosystem projects HesabPay, Wholechain, Koibanx, and Quantum Temple will participate in the initiative.
