UAE’s Media Accelerator Zone To Get ZEPETO
The operator of ZEPETO, a metaverse platform developed by South Korea’s online service giant Naver Z, will provide its knowledge in metaverse-related technologies to the upgrade of an existing virtual reality ecosystem in the United Arab Emirates’ media service hub “Sharjah Media City.” The media accelerator zone, located in Sharjah, the third-most populated city in the Middle Eastern country, intends to provide numerous business opportunities for global entrepreneurs in the creative and media industries.
The collaboration was formed while Sharjah’s deputy ruler, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, was in Seongnam, a southeastern satellite city of Seoul. The deputy ruler, together with Sharjah Media City chairman Khalid Omar Al Midfa, toured the South Korean company’s studios and investigated artificial intelligence applied to ZEPETO.
