TN School Education Department Partners With Microsoft
Tamil Nadu’s school education department has partnered with Microsoft to expand the Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) program in the state.
The initiative, which began in 14 schools across three districts, will now be extended to 100 schools. Teachers will be trained in HTML, C++, Python, game development, and Artificial Intelligence.
The initiative is the first in India and will benefit students from Class 8 to 12. Microsoft is providing training to teachers and monitoring progress.
Cecil M. Sundar, Director Data and Al of Microsoft, predicts a significant demand for AI-based jobs in the next 5-10 years.
