Strategy has once again doubled down on Bitcoin, pushing its total holdings past the 700,000 BTC mark. According to a recent SEC filing, the company bought 22,305 Bitcoin for about $2.13 billion, paying an average price of $95,284 per coin.
This latest purchase takes Strategy’s total Bitcoin stash to 709,715 BTC, acquired for roughly $53.92 billion at an average cost of $75,979 per Bitcoin.
CEO Michael Saylor confirmed the deal in a post on X, reinforcing the company’s long-term belief in Bitcoin. The purchase was funded by selling different classes of Strategy stock, continuing its approach of turning equity into Bitcoin while keeping cash available.
The firm has been buying Bitcoin steadily over recent weeks, using smaller and larger purchases to manage risk and benefit from price dips.
Today, Strategy controls over 3% of Bitcoin’s total supply, making it the largest corporate holder. The move signals that big institutions remain confident in Bitcoin despite short-term market swings and price volatility.
