Ronin zkEVM Testnet Goes Live With Polygon CDK Integration
Ronin has unveiled its zkEVM testnet, marking the first step towards bringing Layer-2 blockchains to the mainnet.
The zkEVM Testnet will allow builders to create zero-knowledge (ZK) powered layer 2 chains on Ronin and permissionlessly deploy games.
The team emphasized that the zkEVM Testnet will allow developers to test L2s on Ronin, access the block explorer, and query the RPC endpoint.
zkEVM also allows game developers to tap into zero-knowledge proofs for scalability, opening up the ecosystem for more games and users.
Validators will be able to test RON on the zkEVM Testnet by bridging testnet RON from Saigon, unlocking new features and functionalities for Ronin users.
The zkEVM also aligns Ronin’s incentives programs between L2 chains and the mainnet, requiring developers to meet the 250K RON requirement to run a Ronin validator or launch their chain.
