Ripple has unveiled a demo version of its Payments platform, showcasing how Ripple USD stablecoin can power cross-border settlements in more than 50 markets. Senior director Reece Merrick shared the demo via X, linking to Ripple’s site where users can test the tool.
The demo interface highlights balances in USD and RLUSD, exchange rates, transaction history, and payout functions. It demonstrates how RLUSD can be converted to fiat currencies such as the British pound before being sent to recipients. Ripple emphasizes the system is designed to streamline stablecoin settlements, offering cheaper, faster, and more transparent transactions compared to traditional methods.
Recently, Ripple minted $24 million worth of RLUSD in Japan, marking its expansion into Asia. The company says the tool is intended for enterprise and institutional clients, especially those managing large-scale cross-border transactions. By showcasing ease of conversion between digital and fiat currencies, Ripple aims to strengthen its position in global payments.
