Quilter Raises $10 mn for AI-Powered Circuit Board Design
Quilter, a circuit board design startup, raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Silicon Valley’s Benchmark.
The funding will be used to reduce the time needed to design components for electronics in rockets, computers, and smartphones.
Quilter’s software uses artificial intelligence, similar to Google’s Go-winning strategy. The company plans to completely automate the circuit board design process, which will speed up the process from months to weeks or days. This will also reduce costs and increase board efficiency.
Labor costs currently account for the majority of spending in the estimated $40 billion to $50 billion market for printed circuit board design.
