Qatar National Bank Adopts JPMorgan’s Blockchain For Payments

Qatar National Bank has become the first bank in Qatar to integrate JPMorgan Chase’s Kinexys blockchain for corporate payments.

Announced on September 29, the Doha branch will now process U.S. dollar transactions round-the-clock, settling payments within minutes.

The move positions QNB ahead in financial innovation while replacing older systems that took days.

Executive VP Kamel Moris called it a step towards client-first services. Few banks in the Middle East have made such strides, marking a bold expansion of blockchain’s role in regional banking.
