PlayWay, GameSwift Utilize MATIC Scaling Capabilities
GameSwift and global gaming company PlayWay are the latest to use the Polygon zkEVM’s infinite blockchain scaling capabilities to expand into the gaming environment.
According to sources, the firms have joined together to launch OuterLife, a new Web3 game incubator and accelerator. OuterLife would incorporate PlayWay’s approximately 100 subsidiary gaming companies and simulation title libraries, Polygon’s cutting-edge protocol, and GameSwift’s modular steam-like gaming platform.
OuterLife’s SDK enables developers and studios to port their simulation games to web3 and integrate them into an interconnected digital reality. Players can self-custody NFTs to transfer items and abilities between simulations. PlayWay plans to port some games, while other gaming studios can join the incubator and use zk-powered Polygon Supernet for blockchain development. OuterLife’s integration with zkEVM will create a scalable, efficient, and secure simulation gaming platform. Over $739M has been invested in blockchain technology for mainstream gaming in the first quarter of 2023.
