Parle Collaborates With IBM
In order to advance the company’s journey towards digital transformation, IBM on September 12 announced the expansion of its collaboration with Parle Products, the Indian biscuit brand.
According to the company, Parle has been able to lower sourcing costs, improve sales forecast accuracy, lower cost to serve, and optimise overall IT infrastructure by deploying cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business solutions throughout the course of the engagement.
IBM has helped Parle overcome complexities in its supply and distribution network by leveraging cloud and AI capabilities since its 2014 partnership. This has led to operational efficiencies in procurement, supply chain evolution, and HR transformation. The company’s non-differentiated strategies across products and channel approaches resulted in service-level constraints and higher costs to serve. IBM has been instrumental in achieving these improvements.
