Over $230 mn Liquidated As BTC Soars Past $45K
Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a significant increase in value after trading sideways at around and below $44,000 for several days.
This was due to financial giants like BlackRock announcing the fees they will charge for their Bitcoin ETFs.
Bitcoin’s year began with a surge to almost $46,000, its highest price tag in nearly two years. However, rumors of the SEC rejecting all ETF applications led to a drop of over $4,000.
After refuting these rumors, BTC recovered most losses and returned to $44,000. The ETF front also resumed Bitcoin’s bull run, with financial giants like BlackRock announcing their fees for their ETFs.
This increased volatility led to numerous liquidations, with the total value of wrecked positions increasing to over $230 million on a daily scale.
