Omni Network Signs $600 mn Restaking Deal With Ether.Fi
Ether.Fi, a liquid restaking protocol, has committed $600 million worth of ether (ETH) in a delegation deal to secure the Omni Network, a blockchain designed for low latency and security communication between Ethereum
rollups.
Both Omni and Ether.Fi have committed to the pooled security model of EigenLayer, with the ether restaked on EigenLayer.
Omni will whitelist Ether.Fi’s liquid token eETH and select Ether.Fi’s node operators to run its Actively Validated Service (AVS).
The staked ether will protect against security breaches and asset depegs. The deal follows a $23 million Series A fundraising round.
EigenLayer is a key project in the Ethereum restaking ecosystem, with projects like Ether.Fi and Puffer offering additional rewards in the form of loyalty points.
