Now Generative AI For Beverage Ideas
Kirin Holdings, a Japanese brewery, is using generative AI to streamline its product development process. The company, known for its quality beers, has been using extensive customer interviews to gauge customer sentiment and preferences.
However, the exact reasons behind these interviews remain unclear, and sensory elements like tastings may contribute to the extended timeframe.
Kirin has initiated a new frontier by experimenting with AI to expedite and refine its product development process, specifically for its Kirin Hyoketsu line of ready-to-drink (RTD) products.
The existing lineup includes flavors like plum, peach, grapefruit, and sparkling chardonnay, which are periodically refreshed with seasonal or promotional variations.
Kirin’s objective is to compress the product development cycle for its RTD offerings by leveraging generative AI to analyze data derived from customer interviews.
By posing questions about product concepts and flavor profiles, Kirin aims to gain valuable insights that can inform the creation of innovative and appealing new products.
