The social media giant, Meta, was earlier being targeted for opening up its virtual world, Horizon world for teens. And now, it has come up with a metaverse safety guide for teens and some tips for parents. Well, the company has done so to ensure the security of teens in the virtual worlds and to address cases of cyberbullying as well as create a safe environment for young users.
Well, despite privacy issues in the virtual worlds, Gen Z is attracted towards it as they can make unforgettable memories in a whole new virtual universe. Recently, Paris Hilton hosted a virtual concert in metaverse and now, she is launching sliving land on Roblox. This fan hub, launched by 11:11 Media, provides an opportunity to Hilton’s fans to engage with her brand’s entertainment content including podcasts, films, music etc.
Well, countries and companies are betting big on metaverse and now, 7-Eleven, an American convenience store chain, is testing the waters of metaverse. Yes, the store chain has partnered with Fortnite to host a virtual car meet in metaverse. The store chain will post some clues on social media channels for all the consumers to help them find branded cars across a number of Fortnite Islands.
Moving on,Zepeto, a South Korean metaverse platform, recently collaborated with Jump Crypto for its ZTX metaverse initiative and recently, it announced a $13 million seed round which was led by its venture capital partner.
Well, Zepeto is trying hard to compete with major metaverse platforms such as Decentraland and Sandbox. Recently, the metaverse platform Sandbox unlocked some 332 million SAND tokens which were worth $133 million.
