South Korea-based social media platform LINE NEXT has raised $140 million to expand its Web3 ecosystem reach.
The funds will be used for global business expansion and boosting Web3 adoption in Southeast Asia. The company plans to introduce a digital market for collectibles called DOSI in early 2024, operating as a mobile app for users to purchase and sell digital collectibles.
LINE is also mulling the launch of a social app for AI-powered character communication and a suite of Web3 games to reach a wider audience.
The company will also provide Web3 solutions for firms to confer full ownership of digital products to their customers.
