LG U+ has collaborated with Megazone cloud-company and game developer Gala Lab to create a metaverse service for university students.
It will aim to introduce it “early next year” according to LG U+.
The companies plan to offer the service via school websites rather than a downloaded app, and it will include educational features such as online classes, a library, and consultations.
The service will also be tailored to each school, with special emphasis on security to ensure that only students and faculty have access.
Gala Lab is the developer of massively multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPG) Rappelz, Rappelz Mobile, Flyff and Flyff Legacy. Megazone will lend its expertise in managing the cloud network for the service.
