Kerala To Host Global AI Summit
Kerala is set to host an AI global summit in Kochi, India, as IBM plans to make the city its country hub for AI-assisted technology. Industries Minister P. Rajeeve and Industries Principal Secretary Suman Billa held talks with IBM India to discuss the possibility of starting IBM’s AI hub in Kochi.
An in-principle agreement has been reached, and the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit is expected to be held in Kochi in mid-year.
The city will attract top technology professionals from around the world, marking reverse migration and prompting other industry players to follow suit.
The proposed Kochi hub will work on generative AI, a technology IBM already provides to international giants like Boeing.
The summit will be organized in association with the State’s Department of Industry, with collaborations from IT Parks, Kerala Startup Mission, Digital University, and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
