Indonesian Firm Launches Social Hub Metaverse
Assemblr, an Indonesia-based augmented reality (AR) company, has launched a web-based metaverse that serves as a social hub.
Assemblr Metaverse, the hub, allows users to meet with clients or colleagues, work together, and watch movies together, among other things.
The platform allows for avatar customization as well as virtual spaces. It also has social features where users can share media such as images, videos, and 3D animations.
According to Hasbi Asyadiq, the founder and CEO of Assemblr, users can access the metaverse using only a web browser. They can communicate with one another via voice and chat features, as well as transact in the platform’s virtual spaces.
“No app or VR headset is required to explore the virtual world. “However, if they have the headset, it will be even better,” he adds.
Assemblr Metaverse will soon begin a collaboration with 15 intellectual properties and brands, including Vernalta and Tekotok.
The startup hopes that its metaverse platform will help businesses optimise creativity and collaboration while also increasing audience reach through AR. “In the next phase, we will give people the option to rent or buy virtual spaces to decorate,” Asyadiq says.
Assemblr, which was founded in 2018, claims that over 2 million immersive projects have been created worldwide using its platform, with nearly 900,000 registered users to date.
For clients who want to use its AR maker or educational platform, the company offers subscription plans. Some of its clients include Google, WWF, Ducati, Dekoruma, and YouTube Music. The startup most recently raised US$400,000 from Ficus Capital.
