India-Focused Voice-Based Generative AI Apps From Azure
Microsoft is partnering with Indian startup Sarvam AI to expand its AI products in Asia. Microsoft plans to integrate Sarvam’s Indic voice large language model (LLM) into its Azure AI infrastructure, leveraging Azure OpenAI and Machine Learning services to host LLMs and accelerate training and scaling.
This development is part of Microsoft’s commitment to enabling AI-driven growth and innovation in India, with the LLM targeting inputs in Indic languages and context to make applications more precise and cost-effective. The LLM will initially provide a natural voice-based interface in Hindi.
