Hong Kong Regulator Acts Against Imposter Crypto Websites
Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has blocked fake websites impersonating major local exchanges, OSL Digital Securities and Hash Blockchain Limited.
The SFC has requested assistance from the Hong Kong Police Force to restrict access to these malicious sites.
To protect investors, the SFC advises caution and thorough verification before engaging with crypto trading platforms.
It also warns against using mobile applications, as they are harder to counterfeit, and consulting trusted third-party websites for exchange verification.
Layer-1 security expert Bartosz Barwikowski recommends using mobile applications with positive reviews.
