Exodus Wallet Responds To Shibarium Requests
Exodus Wallet, a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, has responded to calls to declare support for Shibarium, the forthcoming Ethereum L2 network for Shiba Inu. The team did not explicitly confirm its readiness to support the network, but did state that the request had been routed to the proper department.
“…Shibarium has been logged with our assets team,” Exodus disclosed on 28th Feb through its official Twitter handle in response to requests from two Shiba Inu community members who had implored the wallet to support the network.
The team stated that, while no promises can be made at this time, the Shiba Inu community may be in for a “delightful surprise” in the future. Remember that Exodus has an op-ed piece promoting Shibarium as Shiba Inu’s Polygon.
Furthermore, the Exodus account proposed an alternative method for Shiba Inu supporters to personally add Shibarium support to their Exodus wallets. Users can add Shibarium as a custom ERC-20 token by following the detailed steps outlined in the dedicated guide, according to the team. “We’re crossing our fingers for full support down the road,” they added.
In response to the proposed alternative, a community-driven Shiba Inu handle insisted on Shibarium’s official support. “The team has been notified of your request to support Shibarium on the network guarantees, though,” Exodus responded.
It’s worth noting that Exodus’ support for the Shiba Inu token in 2021 stemmed from numerous similar calls made at the time by SHIB supporters. The team noted that they had forwarded the Shiba Inu support requests to the appropriate section.
