Countries Must Build Sovereign AI Infra: Nvidia CEO
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has emphasized the importance of every country having its own artificial intelligence infrastructure to harness its economic potential and protect its culture.
He emphasized that AI access should be democratized due to efficiency gains in AI computing. Huang, who has risen to a $1.73 trillion stock market value, believes that fears about AI’s dangers are overblown, as other technologies and industries have been successfully regulated.
He criticized the efforts to scare people about AI and mystify it, stating that it is a mistake. Nvidia has been working with customers in China and the Middle East to obtain export licenses for new products that comply with US rules, following a new round of US restrictions on some of its AI chips, however The CEO did not address this issue on Monday.
