Cleveland Clinic Enters Metaverse To Promote Mental Health Wellness
Cleveland Clinic has created an interactive experience called “Zen Quest” to provide users with a mental health break. The game combines gaming and mindfulness techniques, including breathwork, guided meditation,
affirmations, and art.
The virtual tool is available on the Roblox platform and can be found by searching “Zen Quest” within the online gaming site or clicking a direct link.
The game is designed to help young adults, who spend a lot of time with video games as entertainment, be proactive in their mental health.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) reports that nearly 58 million people in the U.S. struggle with mental health, and 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14.
Developers plan to collect data and explore a broader metaverse strategy and expansion opportunities, including a free-standing version of the game.
