Chainlink Staking v0.2 Goes Live
Chainlink Staking v0.2 has gone live, with over 11 million LINK +3.09% staked in the first 30 minutes. This follows a nine-day “priority migration” period where existing v0.1 stakers transitioned their staked LINK and rewards to the new version. Chainlink Staking v0.2 has an expanded pool size of 45 million LINK, which is the most popular oracle network in crypto.
Initially accessible for staking to secure the Ethereum ETH +5.02% /USD price feed, the pool was capped at 25 million LINK tokens. With early access, eligible participants can stake up to 15,000 LINK for four days before entering General Access, where anyone can stake up to 15,000 LINK, provided the pool hasn’t been filled. The 45 million LINK represents 8% of the current circulating supply. Chainlink aims to provide a more flexible unbonding mechanism, improve security guarantees, and facilitate greater adaptability for future upgrades and improvements.
