Casio Dives Into Metaverse With Trademark Application
Casio, an electronics manufacturing company, has announced plans to explore new digital frontiers by submitting a trademark application to the USPTO.
Casio, a Japanese company, is interested in using non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the digital world. On X , USPTO-licensed attorney Mike Kondoudis announced that the firm’s most recent trademark application would see it introduce a number of digital products in the metaverse.
“Casio is coming to the metaverse with NFT and virtual goods,” Kondoudis said. “The company has filed a trademark application covering: Virtul clothing + watches, NFT-backed media, robots with AI, stores for virtual goods, and more!”
Casio will release NFT watches, personal digital assistants, animation packages, clothing, and fashion accessories for avatars in the virtual world. The business made a suggestion that it might broaden its scope to include producing “non-downloadable audio, music, images, and video” for virtual and augmented realities.
