Bitcoin Mining Revenue Jumps To $1.39 bn In Feb
Bitcoin miners discovered 4,446 blocks in February, generating $1.39 billion in earnings, with $71 million coming from onchain transaction fees.
The revenue from bitcoin mining increased by $40 million compared to January, with Foundry USA and Antpool contributing the most blocks.
The month saw 47 to 53 mining pools participate, contributing SHA256 hashrate to the BTC chain. A 47% increase in BTC prices within 30 days significantly boosted miners’ revenue, allowing them to collect $1.39 billion, $40 million more than January’s $1.35 billion.
However, only $71 million came from on-chain transaction fees, a sharp decline from January’s $133 million and significantly below December’s $337 million in fees.
The mining landscape remains dynamic and closely watched, with 1,796 blocks remaining until the next difficulty adjustment and 7,172 blocks until the subsidy halving.
