Bitcoin Miner Treasuries Now Worth $131 bn
Bitcoin has broken a price record, trading above $72,000 for the first time ever. However, it is not the best performing crypto in the top 100, with floki (FLOKI) gaining 19.4%.
Theta Network (THETA) trails slightly due to interest in decentralized computing. Pyth Network (PYTH), an oracle network tipped as a rival to Chainlink (LINK), is third with 18.2%.
NEAR follows with 13.3% gains, boosted by AI development buzz. Bitcoin and ether (ETH) are up by about 3%, while dogwifhat (WIF) is the worst performer, down more than 8%.
Miner treasuries have reduced by 14,128 BTC ($1 billion) so far this year, with most days seeing net outflows from bitcoin miners holding 1.82 million BTC ($131 billion). Ethereum layer-2 Blast is up 161% over the past week.
