Binance Files For Protective Order Against SEC
Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange, filed a protective court order request against the US Securities and Exchange Commission late on Monday, claiming that the regulator’s information requests were “over broad” and “unduly burdensome.”
In a legal filing in the US District legal for the District of Columbia, BAM Trading, Binance US’ operational firm, and BAM Management claimed that the organization had already given the regulator enough information.
The protective order requests, without naming anyone, that the SEC be limited to four employee depositions from BAM and to withdraw the depositions of BAM’s chief executive and chief financial officer.
A request for comment from Binance was not immediately returned, and the SEC declined to comment.
