Do This To Get Into Privileged NFT Whitelists

By Ruchi Sharma

In the world of NFTs, a whitelist is akin to a VIP guest list. Being on the list guarantees faithful supporters, early access and protection from unnecessary competition.

Basic steps to get whitelisted for NFTs

Locate a good project before it launches.

The majority of NFT initiatives in the early stages seek community members who can help raise awareness and reward participants. To keep up with the latest trends, one can search for projects on Twitter and YouTube, or use platforms like Rarity.tools.

Join the NFT project’s Discord server

After selecting a project, join its Discord server to interact with other members and contribute to its development. Useful information regarding project’s founders’ backgrounds, roadmap, and most recent announcements, can be found on the server and used to assess the project’s credibility before joining the whitelist.

Follow the Eligibility Requirements to get whitelisted

Every project has its own application process for joining a whitelist. After following the instructions and meeting all the requirements, you’ll need to provide your cryptocurrency wallet address, which, if accepted, will grant you access to the whitelist. You will be assigned a time slot to mint your token after being added to the whitelist.

Advantages of NFT whitelists

Saves Money:

It allows fans to mint NFTs before the public, avoiding a gas war. They also have the advantage of a lower mint price than the public mint price. Moreover, by saving on gas fees they can spend that additional money on actual NFT purchases.

Gets Rewards:

Collectors may be rewarded with airdrops if they are able to mint a high-value project NFT. For instance, Bored Ape Yacht Club holders received free Mutant Ape NFTs, allowing existing users to mint new apes for free.

Saves Marketing Fees:

Project creators save upfront marketing fees and benefit from the early backers’ promotion, who are financially incentivized to remain active in the project and attract new supporters.

Avoids Spam:

Project creators can stop spam from non-whitelisted addresses by creating whitelisted users, which is essential, as shady accounts may raise gas prices and reduce network performance.

Disadvantages of NFT whitelists

Time Consuming:

Getting onto a whitelist requires consistent engagement on the project’s Discord server and other social media pages. If the project fails to gain traction, one may still not end up on the whitelist.

Risk of phishing attacks:

Scammers may conduct a phishing attack and entice investors to click on random links. As a result, users should exercise caution and communicate only with legitimate project representatives.

Conclusion:

If you’re interested in minting NFTs but the fierce competition is holding you back, your best hope of getting something truly valuable without paying exorbitant gas fees is getting whitelisted for new and exciting drops. As always, make sure to establish an NFT project’s reputability and take the time to research before making any trades.
