YouTube Releases ‘Principles’ For Music Industry On AI Tech
On Aug. 21, YouTube published its “principles” for collaborating with music industry companies on artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
YouTube CEO Neal Mohan declared in a blog post that the time had come to “boldly embrace this technology with a continued commitment to responsibility.”
YouTube has partnered with the music industry, including Universal Music Group, to develop three AI principles to enhance music’s creative expression while protecting artists and their work. These principles include embracing AI responsibly, providing appropriate protections for artists, and scaling content policies to meet AI challenges. YouTube has announced a new “Music AI Incubator” to work with innovative artists, songwriters, and producers. Mohan is excited about the potential of AI to supercharge creativity globally and is excited about the opportunities it presents.
