XRP Ledger Surpasses 2.6 bn Transactions
Ripple’s XRP Ledger (XRPL) has reached over 2.6 billion transactions, according to Marcus Infranger, Vice President of RippleX Growth. He highlighted the network’s scalability and interoperability, highlighting its efficiency. Transaction speed, typically 3 to 5 seconds, has been reliable for over a decade, as demonstrated by the successful launch of the XRPL payment platform, SpendTheBits, last October.
RippleX’s Infranger reports that the XRP network logs over 1 million daily transactions, surpassing Ethereum’s count. Over 2.6 billion transactions have been processed on the XRP Ledger, despite its impressive speed. However, Infranger emphasizes that enhancing the XRP Ledger’s performance is a priority for RippleX developers and the developer community.
Bitinfocharts, an on-chain data provider, confirmed that XRP has consistently recorded daily transactions above 1 million since the latter half of 2020. Despite a price correction in August, daily transactions remained above 1 million. On the other hand, Bitcoin and Ethereum networks have lower daily transaction counts, with XRP consistently outpacing Ethereum’s. Bitcoin records an average of 400,000 daily transactions, which is 150% less than XRP’s.
