Vodafone’s New Gaming Venture- Elf & Seek’
The captivating realm of the gaming industry, a journey that has taken us from the enchanting arcades to the comfort of our living rooms with consoles, and now even further into the vast expanse of the online world and beyond.
Ten years ago, gaming was akin to fantasy novels or sci-fi films, but now players can advance to a new gaming experience with the advent of virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
Metaverse games offer immersive virtual worlds for players to interact, socialize, and create and trade assets. They also allow players to claim full ownership over their game assets.
Several reports are available in the public domain for establishing this fact. A report by Gamefam shows Gen-Z users spend 43% more time on Roblox and Fortnite than YouTube and TikTok combined. Roblox saw a 20% year-over-year increase in daily active users and a 50% increase in brand activations, from 80 to 120 branded events and worlds in 2023, with 1.8 billion visits. This represents a 2,300% increase in branded experiences compared to 2019.
Gamefam has created top-rated games and events on Roblox, such as Barbie DreamHouse Tycoon, Sonic Speed Simulator, and Saweetie’s Super Bowl concert in partnership with Warner Music Group and the NFL. The most recent brand activation is Harmony Hills, where users can discover Cher’s new holiday album through a festive gamified journey in Warner Music’s Roblox world.
Big brands and celebrities are foraying into the metaverse gaming space with new ventures…..and one such example is the leading telecommuinications company….Vodafone!!!
Now Vodafone has released its latest campaign to spread festive joy by relaunching ‘Elf and Seek’ – a free-to-play Augmented Reality (AR) game, with more interactivity and more prizes to win in 2023.
